Minutes for the April 2024 Meeting
This meeting was held on April 13 at the Ft Christmas field and called to order at about 1000 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 14 members were present.
Minutes of the March meeting were read and approved.
The Treasurer’s report was presented by Doug Leonard, and 44 members are on the club roster.
Old Business
Decided not to spend club money for the World Championship F3J Raffle since our members are no longer participating.
Several club members have been assisting potential new members with learning to fly and also working with UCF Design Competition teams as test pilots.
New Business
Jim Tomasetti will take over the Treasurer’s job from Doug Leonard since Doug is moving out of the area.
Appreciation of Mickey Nowell’s support of our club contests with his timing clock and his service was announced and the club approved purchase of a new lithium battery and charger for his clock system. The expense is expected to be around $250-$350.
The meeting was adjourned at about 1020 AM.
