Minutes for the May 2024 Meeting
This meeting was held on May 11 at the Ft Christmas field and called to order at about 1000 AM by president Raed Elazzawi. Approximately 12 members were present.
Minutes of the April meeting were read and approved.
The Treasurer’s report was not available.
Old Business
Raed will purchase the battery for Mickey Nowell’s clock system from Amazon for $220.
FSS 6&7 (2MF5J) was held last weekend at the Ft Christmas field with about 10 fliers participating.
New Business
Jason, a visitor new to the hobby, was introduced and we discussed the availability of the club flight trainer. This is a Timber aircraft that is set up with a buddy box and is in the custody of Wayne Collier.
The rocket group will be conducting an event next weekend (May 18) in the glider area and so a float fly event was planned at Robert’s and Wayne’s neighborhood dock. Raed will send email info with gate entry instructions.
The meeting was adjourned at about 1020 AM.
